Case "Setting up analytics and offline pre-registration advertising for the Imram Kriya 2024 Retreat"

Imram Kriya Retreat imram-kriya.com

The Kriya Retreat is a daily practice with a master and a detailed study of techniques. Participants experience new spiritual states, silence the mind, improve concentration, and move deeper into meditation.

The main benefit is the master's guidance in inner transformation, which happens at all levels. They also receive important recommendations for independent practice and valuable communication with the master during satsangs.

Kriya retreats are open to everyone who has completed the seminar, or received initiation - a system of 6 stages of kriya techniques.

Goals of setting up analytics and advertising

Early pre-registration for the retreat
Reach the most relevant audience
Minimal advertising costs
Receive applications from new participants

Analytics set up

We configured a separate landing page for the retreat, installed Google Tag Manager code to collect registrations for the event. GA4 and Yandex Metrix were selected as tools for analyzing data.
GTM, Google Analytics, yandex metrics codes were installed on the site, goals and conversions were set up. Registration for the retreat was accepted as the main conversion for the project.

Development of an advertising strategy

The distribution of the QR code among the participants at the seminar was used as an advertising strategy, as it was the passage of the seminar that was a condition for participating in the retreat.

The QR code was displayed on the screen during the event and handed out to the participants as leaflets.

The unique UTM tag in the QR code link was later used to analyze which participants went to the retreat page.

Execution of the advertising strategy

A project team was quickly assembled: project manager, head of video production, frontend designer, Getcourse specialist, and specialist of paid advertising.
The designer created the hidden landing page for the Early Birds 2024 course.
The advertising specialist created a special link with UTM tags attached. Then, we created a unique QR code, separate for the printed flyer and the video scene and after that set up analytics on the landing page.
Polygraphic printed beautiful flyers and video editors inserted the code into the videos.
Then we linked the WordPress form to Getcourse, ensuring that applications were automatically added to the database for management processing.

As a result, 396 people pre-registered for the retreat.
Two days later, another 292 people registered, for a total of 688 people.
The conversion rate for an event attendee to scan a QR code was 45.9%.
The conversion rate was 80% during the entire period, from the landing page visitors to the application.
The goals have been met.

Conclusion:

In this way, we achieved all necessary results of registration for the retreat without spending on advertising, and also attracted a new audience of participants. We plan to continue using this proven method in the future.

The working group, which includes all the relevant parties and the "hackathon" mode, allows us to complete fairly ambitious tasks within a short period of time (2 working days).

Peculiarities of event promotion by means of QR code on leaflets

Promoting a retreat by pre-registering using QR codes on flyers is a unique approach that allows you to use both traditional and modern marketing strategies. This method combines the tangibility of physical materials with the convenience of digital technology, making it an effective way to generate interest and engagement. Here are some of the features and benefits of this approach:

Hybrid marketing: The use of QR codes on flyers bridges the gap between offline and online marketing. While flyers serve as a physical reminder of the event, QR codes provide an instant connection to the digital world. This combination allows you to engage potential event attendees through multiple channels.

Convenience: QR codes simplify the registration process. Attendees can scan the code with their smartphone and go directly to the registration page. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, making it faster and easier to register for an offsite event.

Instant access to information: QR codes can link to more than just registration pages. They can provide access to event details, schedules, speaker profiles, and even promotional videos. This instant access encourages potential attendees to learn more about the retreat, making them more likely to register.

Data collection: QR codes provide a mechanism to collect valuable data. When visitors register with a QR code, you can collect information for data analytics. Which can later be used to refine your marketing strategy and improve the quality of the event.

In conclusion, it should be noted that offline promotion of an off-site event by means of pre-registration with appliance of QR codes on flyers is an effective way to attract potential participants. It combines the best aspects of traditional and digital marketing, which makes it convenient for the audience and information-rich for the organization.
